Gabriel & Uzma get engaged

Gabriel wanted to make his proposal to his longtime girlfriend Uzma something special. So he arranged a weekend in Chicago with a Saturday night trip to Navy Pier for the Fireworks & then contacted Marvin & Michele at The Heart Bandits to help arrange some suitable music & photography.
It was a magical night...

 After hanging out for a little while Gabriel & Uzma wandered over to the pier railings where they were serenaded by the fabulous Angela James masquerading as a random street musician 

 They absolutely LOVED the performance and Uzma melted when this was followed by Gabriel's proposal of marriage 

After that I introduced myself, took off my long lens and got a couple of shots on the pier before the fireworks started.

And THAT'S how you do a proposal folks!

Eric & Robyn - The Proposal

A friend of Eric's contacted me a few weeks ago to see if we might be available to shoot a surprise proposal session in Chicago. Once we'd established the location and how we would meet up without alerting Eric's soon-to-be fiance we were all set. 
I love these sessions! 

After the deed had been successfully completed, we spent another 45 minutes doing a few additional pictures, taking advantage of the beautiful weather down by the lake. Awesome!
